After I had installed the Security Update KB925902 and rebooted, I received
the following message:

RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relocation
The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not
run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows
system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.

The message stopped occurring after I uninstalled the security update. I
suppose Microsoft is the vendor of the DLL mentioned. Any idea what to do? I
run XP Professional on a home computer and try to keep updated. I don't care
much for error messages at startup...

See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448/en-us for a hotfix.
You may also want to try disabling the Realtec HD Audio Control Panel
(aka RTHDCPL.EXE) via Start -> Run -> msconfig in case you don't make
use of the panel anyway.

Bye,
Freudi

This is the exacxt problem I have on XP Media edition 2005. Question is how
did you delete the up date? All I can find are text docs.

Oh, just using Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel (check Show
updates).
But as Micrsoft now has a fix, I will reinstall the update tonight.
