This latest update killed our LanFax facility. Each Pc that has the update
installed reboots upon using the lanfax. Does anyone have an idea how to
prevent this? I have uninstalled the update and all is fine but am obviously
nervous about the next update.

Which Windows version?
What's the exact error message and/or problem you're facing?

Bye,

And what's the exact error message and/or problem you're facing?

Any hints in the event log? Start -> Run -> eventvwr.msc
And yes, please inform MS directly by calling PSS!

Bye,
Freudi

We're having the same trouble.

LanFax drivers are installed on Windows XP SP2 machines with all
WindowsUpdates installed.

The error manifests itself as a BSoD - and our event log reports:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: System Error
Event Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Date: 10/04/2007
Time: 16:51:05
User: N/A
Computer: COMPUTER_45
Description:
Error code 0000007f, parameter1 00000000, parameter2 00000000, parameter3
00000000, parameter4 00000000

Uninstalling KB925902 makes the problem go away, but (obviously) we have to
disable Windows Updates on the computers that have the problem (or else it
just gets re-installed every night and we're back where we started) and this
isn't a terribly effective long-term solution to this problem.

Cheers

Simon
