I have installed this update around a dozen times now and after each
restart it comes back.
I have tried deleting all my temp files before running it, i have
tried installing it manually, I have tried installing it as the Admin.
It just keeps coming back. how annoying.
thanks for any help.

My computer has been installing two files continually for 5 days. They are
MSXML 4.0 SP2-KB972978 and MSXML 4.0 SP2-925672. I have gone through it over
a hundred times by now. If anyone gets the answer for why and how to stop
it, please respond. Thanks

I to am having the same problem with the update KB925905, it keeps
trying/wanting to install everyday for the last week. After the first install
i did all was fine, but the second install went wrong and there seemed to be
a clash of drivers. So i performed an undo and haven't tried another install
but temporarily turned off the auto update to asking first, so now i am
waiting to see if there is a fix turn up from MS. Please Help......

Which Windows version are you using?

Have a look into the KB925902.log file to be found in the Windows
folder. Look for any error messages in there and/or post *the last*
~50 lines of the log file here.

Bye,
Freudi

I keep receiving the message to install updates but after it runs it tells it
was unable to install "Security Update for Windows XP
(KB925902)"....Microsoft won't provide me help unless I pay (I am running
WIndows Home Edition).

Does anyone know what this update is? Do I really need? If so, any
suggestions of how to get? If not, how can I stop getting the messages to
install?

Yes!

Reading the messages you're replying to "may" be a starting point.

This keeps installing successfully, then pops up 30 seconds later again as "ready to install"
