I use WSUS. I had/have a corrupt security update(KB927978). It says that it
installs, but at the next restart, it installs it again every time. What I
used to do to get around this was download the update manually, but now when
I try to do that, it doesn't download a new update, it uses the cached
version. Even if I move the computer out of the policy and turn off
automatic updates, I can't get past the cached version. I also tried to
downloading update directly from the downloads page(not the windows update
page) and when I try to install it, it says that it is already installed. If
I uninstall it and reinstall it, I get the same issues as above. Can anyone
tell me where the updates are stored temporarily so that I can delete it
from
there and download a clean version? Please let me know. Thanks.
