I was under the impression that KB931836 was a newer more up to date version
of KB928388 to fix timezones. If so why when KB931836 was downloaded and
installed did it not remover KB928388 from the computer? It is still in add
remove programs.

If one was to remove KB928388 would it mess up the install of KB931836?

Thanks

Vince,

Oh, for a clear, concise explanation. From

So, to sum it all up, AFAIK, you do not HAVE to uninstall KB928388 prior
to installing KB931836 since KB931836 adds more info then KB928388 did.
Make sense ? Errr ... I guess.

Thanks for the reply I had already read that you did not need to uninstall
KB928388 before installing KB931836, what I am wondering is what happens to
the person who does not uninstall KB928388 before installing KB931836 and
then later decides to uninstall KB928388. Will doing this cause them to have
to reinstall KB931836 after removing since it could take out some of the
updates that did not change with KB931836?

I really do not know Vince. Perhaps you can test this and uninstall
KB928388. Then report back if you are prompted to install KB931836 or not.
I wouldn't bother myself with it as long as the system changes time
correctly on March 11th.
