Does anyone know or has anyone uninstalled KB931836? When running the
uninstaller from the Add/Remove programes I get the following message:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Setup detected the following programs on your computer:
Internet Explorer 7
Windows Server 2003 (KB925720)
Windows Server 2003 (KB925876)
Update for Windows Internet Explorer 7 (KB928090)
Windows Server 2003 (KB931311)

If KB 931836 is removed, these programs might not run properly. Do you want
to continue?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just making sure that removing the patch isn't going to break anything else.

That's simply a list of those updates which have been installed
after the update you've chosen to be uninstalled. This list does
*not* automatically indicate that you will run into any problem
after continuing to uninstall the update.

The question remains, why you would like to uninstall KB931836.

may help to reconsider if that really makes sense.

The reason for uninstalling this patch: An application that is intalled on
that server with a SQL back-end is time stamping transactions with the wrong
time.

My professional recommendation: is/was not to uninstall the patch and find
the source of the issue.

Vendors recommendation: Uninstall/Re-Install, maybe it will fix the
problem....key word "maybe".

Outcome: After the vendors "Master Developer" did some more digging around,
they have determined it is an issue with the application itself.

Moral of the story: NEVER TRUST YOUR VENDORS!!!!! Do your own research and
testing on none production boxes!

Thanks for your response and help.
