KB936782 won't download

I have tried, using both windows update and automatic updates, to download
this security update for Windows Media Player 11. What happens is it says
"Downloading" but gives no indication of file size/time remaining/etc. There
is no status bar movement and automatic updates indicates 0% complete after
an hour when the update should only take 44 minutes total to download. I
need to get this downloaded so that I can connect to a college network
tomorrow.
