KB941229 UPDATE FAILURE WINDOWS VISTA(many times)

U Have tried several solutions to this update.
First, I have tried run reg delete
HKLM\COMPONENTS /v StoreDirty but this just throws up an error.
This did not work.

Second, I purchased a MAX Registry Cleaner and cleaned my registry...still
did not work.
Can anyone
help?

I had the same problem what you can do is manually install it, and thats what
i did. all you have to do is go into c drive > Windows > Software
Distribution > Download. and than double click on it and install it manually,
than run auto update again and it will detect it already installed, and u
should no have further problems.. hope this helps -albert

Thanks for the idea....I was very hopeful. I did not see the file so I had
to redownload the exe file for that download. It still did not update. Any
other ideas?
