KB942615 recieves error code 80073715

Hello everyone,

I know that everyone has been recieving the error code 80073715 in different
situations. I have looked at many of the questions and answers on these two
numbers and have not found a situation like mine.

Update: Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista
(KB942615)

I have recently been updating my computer since I got it, it's an HP, and
many of the updates have been working. For the last three days I have been
getting all of my updates installed except for one. This has tried to
download but before it could finish downloading it recieves the error code
80073715. So I didn't worry about it. I then waited until the next day when I
had more updates but the other ones downloaded just fine except for this one.
And on the third day which is today I have recieved the same outcomes. So out
of all this I now know that there is nothing wrong with my Windows Update
except for that one error. I don't want to erase the install history for many
reasons, so I do not wish to rename folders. My internet explorer has the
Norton Fraud program on it, but that shouldn't matter because the download
isn't completing and doesn't even reach the install portion.

I think that is about all the details that I can provide.

What third-party firewall are you using (if any)?

What anti-virus application? What anti-spyware application (other than
Defender)?

What is the context of the error code in the log(s)?
Hint: search files which were changed when attempting the update
for both 80073715 and 14101

E.g. perhaps you will find a message such as this in there?
