KB946041 return error code 800736B2

Dear all,

I was installing a Windows Update KB946041 (important) for my Vista but
finally it returned an error 800736B2. I cannot find any message related to
this error. When I retry the installation, same error return. Anyone can
help?

I am using microsoft windows XP Professional with automatic update ON but one
particular update no KB 927779 gets installed everyday. Why should it get
installed every day ? Can there be a solution to stop this particular
installation ?

I am experiencing precisely the same problem. Only in my case I am told that
I have 5 windows updates to download. It starts to download 1 then 2
..........5. THEN I receive the message 5 updates "failed" error 800736B2.

Come on Microsoft explain your self. There does not seem to be any
explanation of how to overcome this problem.

It is comforting that I am not alone in this difficulty

Hi,
You can try with performing repair installation and then retry with
installing updates.
