KB946691 Fails With 80070643 Error

KB946691 Fails With 80070643 Error. What is interesting is that Office 2007
Service Pack One has already successfully been installed on the machine.

Tried the suggestion of insuring that the Office Source Engine process was
configured to start, and was running.

May be out of bounds, but somewhere this is an internal Microsoft issue.
Other than this public forum, or paying them $40-$60 is there no way to at
least inform them that one of their updates has failed to install?

Secondly is there a mechanism to instruct windows update to 'ignore' this
'fix'. However since migrating to Vista have had relatively few problems with
the update process.

I agree with you that it's interest since Office 2007 SP1 is already installed. Same thing
happened to me on both computer but I had no problem with the update. It just installed.
