KB947562 Vista update failure

Hi NG,

I have a brand new clean install of Vista Ultimate running on a machine.
Every day it tries and fails to load KB947562. It throws error
code:8024200D. Anyone know what is going wrong?

The error code indicates a prerequisite may be missing. Have you attempted
to download and install the update manually? Even if that does not work, you
may get some more feedback on what is wrong. Keep an eye on the Event Viewer
logs as well.

Dear NG,

The problem was solved by going to the KB page, downloading the update,
excuting same, and then rebooting the machine. Thank you Charlie42. I
wonder WHY this works.

You are welcome, Bob. My guess is the full installer, which you downloaded,
included the necessary prerequisites.

understand how it was solved. What is the "KB page"....??
