KB953297 install error

The recently issued KB953297 for Net Framework 1.1 SP1 (MS09-061) won't
install. It's downloaded and it ques up to install every few hours but won't
install and there is no error code to reference. I'm running XP Pro SP3.
What's up? I
ve tried at least 10 times over the lasrt few days with the same result.

Ok guys you might want to try running Aaron's Steuber's win Install cleanup
tool (http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archi...08/406671.aspx) i did and lo
and behold, rebooted.When i rebooted,presto the yellow exclam was gone from
my system tray! (thank god what a nuisance) and i then went to Win Updates on
MS page and it scanned for any new updates and it couldn't find any new ones
to install! Now i dont know if that is good news or bad news but so far so
good the yellow exclam is gone and the main MS page i have no new updates to
install.My next question is what happened to KB953297 and the .NET FRAMEWORK
1.1 Service Pack 1 Security Update?? Do i need this and will the automatic
Win updates want to install this at some future date and will i experience
problems once this happens?? Anyone?? Thanks for all your help for
now,hopefully my problem is licked.
