Hi all I might be getting a new PC with Vista Basic on it but the PC will
have 1024mb RAM so I cant decide whether to stick with the basic edition or
upgrade using Windows anytime to Home premium. I want the fastest as
possible running PC so I am thinking Basic with 1024MB RAM. What do others
think I should do?

Its a shame that they never built it in the way that if you wanted to roll
back from Premium to Basic you could do this easily ..... or have they? - is
there a way?

Thanks,

Andy.

All versions of Windows Vista perform equally well. If you wish
to upgrade to another edition of Vista, just remember that
you'll have to pay for the upgrade license.

Hi, Andy
If you had thought ahead, you would have imaged your hard drive before
booting it up for the first time. That image could truely return the laptop
to its 'out of the box' condition.
Its not too late -- you could image the hard drive now, and use that image
to recover your computer to its current state if you wanted to return to
Basic from Premium.
