keep downloading the same update 100000000000 times

My computer is set up for automatic updates for the past month I have been
downloading this file 2-3 times a day and installing...When I check on it, it
says installed...but after i reboot automatic up dates downloads it
again....It's non stop and my computer will not go in to hibernate
automatically because of the automatic update telling it there is something
there...Before this the computer would go into hibernate afte 5mins of non
use...

here is the file it keeps downloading its only about 35kb....

Update for windows vista (kb953631)

Also when I reboot the computer it goes to some strange text saying it needs
to run chkdsk...and then it seems to remove somethings...

Are you running Vista or Vista SP1 currently? <=just a question, NOT a
recommendation or suggestion!

1. Assuming Vista x86, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...1-D3C416988F87 &
SAVE the download to your desktop.

2. Close all open applications (i.e., anything with a taskbar icon).

3. Right-click on the saved file (#1 above) and select "Run as
Administrator."

4. Reboot.
