Hi,

I had an update for 'Security Update for Windows XP Service Pack 3
(KB952069)' But after I had installed it within 2 minutes I was being
prompted to install it again, and again 2 minutes later and all day long ever
since.

Also the stated download time and file size is a little confusing.

"Download size (total): 0 KB *
Estimated time at your connection speed: 0 minutes *
(*Downloaded; ready to install)"

Is there any way to...

1) check myself that the update installed Ok (even though is said it was
sucesfull on the updates page)

2) stop the update from asking to install.

Thanks in advance.

The reason that they show 0 bytes to download is that Automatic Updates has
actually already downloaded the bits to your computer but has not yet
installed them. AU will install on shuddown, at the scheduled time
(typically 3am) or if you click on the pop-up bubble that says updates are
ready to install.

Windows Update site is aware that AU has downloaded the updates, so when you
tell it to install it uses the already-downloaded versions, so it shows 0
bytes.

hope this helps.
