Keep installing the same update

My computer keep on telling me to install this update over and over. Also
I'm not sure if I install it correctly because it say that it was
successfully install but the update tell me to install it again.

here it is:
Security Update for Microsoft XMmL Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 (KB936181)

Also I try installing it manualy by download the pack and instaling it but i
get this error that says:
"Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file
location exists and is writable."

So help me out here thanks.

The most annoying thing is that if I don't keep giving the ok to update, and restart the computer i'm not allowed to browse the internet. Why is this popping out now, this update is old!!! I'm doing this at least once a day!!

An update is available that improves the compatibility and the
reliability of Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 on a
Windows Vista-based computer

Download the above update and save it. Then read the
" More information about this update " section of the above KB article.
Then close the browser and any other open programs.
Use this to install it:

The "fix" posted below the question does not solve my problem. It still tells
me that there is an error in opening the installation log.
