Keep windows update file

I just want to fromat my computer but the problem how i can keep the
windows upadte files so that when i setup the windwos2000 i do`nt have
to download them again from internet?Is there any way to save the
windows update files and then later install them manually?

No, updates that have been downloaded via automatic updates cannot be saved.

You'll have to redown them. For the future, you can manually download updates and save
them for later use.

In the meantime, for the updates you want now:-

Download individual updates from the Catalog and save to be installed later.

Click Add button for each update you want to download. Once you have what you want, Click
the "Go To Download Basket" link. Type in or browse to the location where you want the
updates saved to and then Click the "Download Now" button.
Once downloaded, you can then burn them to CD.
