keeps asking the same question

Windows Vista home premium SP1, Windows Live Messenger 8.5.1302.1018.

Every few days Windows Live Mesenger pops up a message "Would you like to
allow your contacts to send instant messages to your mobile device?"

It doesn't matter if I say Yes or No, the message comes back again in a few
days. I don't see others with this problem so I must have something weird in
my configuration. Any help is appreciated.
