Okay Had system 10 months and now I frequently start in START REPAIR
MODE. It runs forever asks me to restore which I have numerous times
does not work then I just cancel rstore and let run as long as needed
which then it reboots. Many times it runs good for a while then poop
again several times aweek. I will start in safe mode if it lets me and
have done everything I know to do.

Looking for any kind of direction, since I am not an IT tech and my
son, who would have taken care of my problem is still recovering from a
Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI among other injuries after being iwounded in
iraq by an IED, while serving in the US Army. So my go to guy for now is
also in repair mode.

Thank you,
Brianito

My condolences on your son's illness. You probably should take the machine
to a skilled local computer tech then. Don't use a
BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place.

If you want to try and troubleshoot this yourself (requires a certain level
of computer skills):

1. Make sure the computer is virus/malware-free so you know you are working
from a clean base:

2. Do hardware troubleshooting (because random failures such as you describe
are most often caused by bad/failing hardware):

A friend of mines laptop did the same thing, an HP btw, and it turned
out the hard drive was bad. It was out of warranty, by 8 days!, yet HP
told me tough nuggies! We ended up buying a new hard drive locally and
the dad called HP and got the restore dvd's sent and I reloaded the pc
like the day it was brand new. The dad had MUCH better luck from HP
Tech Support than I did, me I will never buy from them again! All I
wanted was some help with the problem and maybe even something off a
new drive direct from HP. The Tech Support guy was REALLY bad, he
asked me my name 3 or 4 times, yet it was exactly the same name as his
own!!!! No he was not from India but by the way he did things, he
could have been! Straight down the line, no option to just ask him
questions, and everytime I did ask a question, he STARTED OVER!!! My
company was doing a purchase of several hundred new laptops at the
time, I told them my experience and HP is now off our list! A one time
thing, maybe, maybe not. YMMV but this is mine!
