keyboard icons

How do we get rid of those keyboard icons in the systray that indicate caps
lock, num lock, and scroll lock?

Why would you want to get rid of them? Don't you want to know if you
caps lock is on

They aren't Vista icons. Are you running Vista ?

His specs say Vista 64, but he might be running an app of some sort

Hi,

They are a function of your keyboard driver software supplied by the
manufacturer. Check the keyboard applet in the control panel, if there is
any means of disabling the notifications it should be found there.
Otherwise, you would need to uninstall the supporting software and revert to
a standard keyboard driver.
