Hey,
I have the vista premium 64bit (only 2 days old) and the keyboard keys
have gone mental.
They replace shortcuts and after a reboot the non-working/"bad" keys
change so its a different set of letters.
Sometimes F will open find computer while other times it wont, and
sometimes L will lock the pc while other times it wont.
Ive unistalled,reinstalled,updated the drivers.
Restored the system to two days ago.
Check all language settings.
Im at a loss as to what i can do next.

Any help?

I would but all the pc's i know of dont have a usb connection.

Also when i use the onscreen keyboard "L" still lock the computer.

But during BIOS the problem doesnt seem to be happening.

Conversely, you could take your keyboard to another computer. I'
assuming when you said the other computers didn't have a usb connection
you were referring to the keyboard connection and not the CPU

Ok, i moved the keyboard onto my other pc that has XP installed
Same thing, creating its own shortcuts etc etc
Removed it and put my old one back in and had the same problem until
unistalled it from the device list and re-installed it and now it
running again

So the problem is in the USB keyboard,or its software that comes wit
it

And thank you,its 4am and i never even thought of trying it on anothe
pc

Your welcome. The problem would seem to be the keyboard. Let's mar
this as solved

You are replying to someone posting in a web forum that leaches off the MS
news servers. That's why you can't see the button...
