Keyboard messed up

Hi please help, (i'm using on-screen keyboard to type this)
significant part of the right side of my keyboard isn't workin
correctly, basically they either show up as numpad keys or don't show u
at all (i'm using a laptop so i don't even have numpad keys), here is
list:

u shows up as 4
i shows up as 5
o shows up as 6
p shows up as *
j shows up as 1
k shows up as 2
l shows up as 3
m shows up as 0
, and . show up ok
< (, SHIFT) shows up but > (. SHIFT) doesnt
but / shows up as + both with and w/o shift
; shows up as - both with and w/o shift
0 shows up as / both with and w/o shift
7,8,9 show up ok but with shift they act like arrow keys
capital u,i,o,p,j,k,l,m also act like arrow keys

It started while i was playing a game (Spore) and I don't have th
Language Bar installed so please help!

You do not say what computer type or operating system - always helpful
when asking for help

It sounds to me like you have a laptop and your keyboard number pad
has become activated.

Mine has an Fn key and I hold that down while pressing the F11/NumLock
key to turn the keypad function on and off. Have a look around your
keyboard for something like that.

Your notebook keyboard has numlock turned on. Simple to remove. Usually the
fn key + "num lk". In my case the fn key is on the bottom left beside the
Ctrl key and the "num lk" key is near the top right just above the backspace
key.
