keyboard not recognized after SP 2

Since installing Service Pack 2, when I turn on the
computer it says that there is no keyboard present. If I
press the reset button a couple of times and restart it
suddenly decides it is there and works fine. Then does it
all over again next time. Any ideas?

Yes. SP2 seems to mess with device drivers all over the place.
Re-install the driver, if you can.

I fixed mine by uninstalling the Windows file-indexing service from
Uninstall Programs / Uninstall Windows components.
