Hi,
If it fails during sleep mode, then it's a driver problem. It needs to be
updated to retain the settings through this mode, it's currently failing to.
Check to see if HP has a more current driver available for the keyboard, the
system may be using a stock Vista 101/102 keyboard driver that just provides
basic functionality.
