Keyboard volume controls don't work

I recently purchased a Logitech keyboard (the Easycall (Skype) model). It
works well apart from one thing.

The volume up/down controls don't adjust the main system (speaker) volume
levels. Instead they appear to adjust the "Logitech Setpoint Event Manager
(UNICODE)" levels - whatever the Hell that is.

How can I get these hardware controls to work?

Cheers.

Bobby

I think you need to go Control/Panel/Sounds and look what hardware is
installed. While in CP look at the Logitec icon to set up.

Have you looked in Control Panel > Keyboard for any keyboard setup options?

Start by contacting Logitech. It is their software that must interface with
the operating system.

If you didn't install the setpoint software then it would probably work
fine. I have a Creative Multimedia keyboard and every keyboard function
works perfectly in Vista without installing the Creative drivers. It has
buttons for Word and Excel but I don't have either of those apps installed
so don't know if they work or not.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

I found a cure (on a Logitech forum). Make the file (setpoint.exe) run in XP
compatibility mode - and all of the keys are perfect!
