In trying to use this tool so that I can enter in the correct product key for
my XP Pro, the process fails in the step where needed files are downloaded.
Since I have a dialup modem, Microsoft support tells me that the problem may
be that I have static on the line, which causes the application to stop. In
the 4 years I have lived here, I have never had this problem with a download.
What can I do? I cannot get to the step where I can enter in the correct,
licensed key that I paid for?

Just a thought, I have had previous activation issues if the system clock
was not set correctly.

The actual error code I get is "0x80004005", but no one has explained what it
means.
