KVM Switch does not work in the Vista?

Hi:
There are two identical PCs sitting side by side. Each PC has its own
monitor, keyboard and mouse that cluttering on the desk. Then, I started
using KVM Switch which I purchased last year.

When I attempted to switch from first PC to second PC by hitting [scroll
lock] twice, instead going to a second PC, it goes to a different account in
the same/first PC.

Wonder how to set-up the MiniView Micro 2-Port KVM Switch with Built-in KVM
Cables?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have to hit scroll lock twice AND a keyboard number e.g. 1 or 2 ??
That's how my KVM switch works.

If I remember correctly you can use an escape sequence to change the
scrl-lck/scrl-lck to ctrl-ctrl, that is, two taps on the ctrl key. Maybe that
will help.

KVMs in general are a pain and surprisingly picky, some wont work
with one os or another others object to certain hardware...

Umm. Mine had a little button you push to switch computers. Sadly,
it's obselete since my new machine is all USB.

You can buy a relatively inexpensive cable that plugs into a USB slot and
splits into PS/2 keyboard and mouse cables. Works fine with Vista.
