LAGGING IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

Why is my computer which is fairly high end lagging on just playing music and
simple games this is driving me nuts can anyone help?
MB : MSI K9N4 SLI-F AM2 NVIDIA nForce 500
VC : Dual XFX 8500 GT Fatil1ty Professional 512 MB
CPU : AMD 64 X2 6000+
Mem : 2 GB DDR 800

Have you tried ReadyBoost and then turning off your pagefile?

Try disabling your paging file and then use Readyboost, this helped in my case.

Disabling the pagefile would only make matters worse. That could cause 'out
of memory' errors as well as cause installed programs to fail to start as
many look for a page allocation when initializing.

Hi,

Look to what is running in the background at boot. A lag is caused by the
system's resources being occupied by other processes. Normally, the sources
for this are malware, misconfigured antivirus software, and an excessive
number of programs loading as part of the startup axis.
