I tried what Frustrated Gloucester advised but when I clicked on Tools
(outside the e-mail window) the only "options" listed is INTERNET OPTIONS no
down arrows that I saw at the bottom. When I clicked internet options is
shows the usual tabs...General, Security, Privacy, Content etc. etc. On the
General Tab there is a Language button below "appearences" but ENGLISH is
already listed. Even deleating English and re-entering english as the
language does not even highlight the apply button and does not fix the
problem. No wonder people roll their eyes when I tell them I use Vista Home
Premium. CONSTANT PROBLEMS!!! Any other suggestions????? oleshoeleather

Who told you about " outside the e-mail window " ?
Please follow this :
Open Windows Mail (where you normally check for new mails )> top, Tools >
Options > Spelling > under Language heading, click the pointer which is on
the far right > select any language OTHER THAN English, click APPLY > click
the pointer again, this time select English, click APPLY then OK.

Internet Options is part of Internet Explorer. You need to be inside
the Windows Mail main screen.
