I am attempting to move large files from my server across the network or even
to a large USB2 HDD. I receive an error message, which refers me to the
following KB article KB843515. I cannot find where to download the hotfix
(srv.sys) referred to in this article.

"bruckley",

I am sorry you are running into this issue. Hotfixes such as this one are
on a one-by-one need basis. Thus they are not available for download
everywhere but are specific to an individual problem. Here is the link to
contact Microsoft for support:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[LN];CNTACTMS

Click on "Get Assisted Support for a Product", then ook in the Windows
section for a match to YOUR operating system.

Sincerely,

Pat Walters [MSFT]

"Ace" or "Victor Chen",

I apologize that you are hitting this issue. The hotfix type of update is
designed for very specific customers for very specific issues. The update is
obtained by calling Microsoft Support after clicking on the following link:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;[LN];CNTACTMS

1. Click the link above
2. Click the link Get Assisted Support for a Product
3. Go to the Windows section, and find a match for your server or client OS
that is encountering this issue--unless your server is Windows Server 2003,
in which case go to the Servers section and click directly on the product
link.
4. Follow it on to the phone support and let them know you want a HOTFIX at
the very beginning of the conversation, and spell out that it is based on a
KB article, in this case 843515.

Let us know how this goes.

Sincerely,

Pat Walters [MSFT]
