Okay, so a couple days ago my pretty new laptop started acting u
viciously. I turned it on, logged on, as usual, but soon after that
bunch of processes stopped working and I eventually blue screened
Sometimes I don't even get a blue screen, the computer just restarts.

Flash forward to today, and I'm still working on trying to fix it
Today I was able to go into safemode and disable all the startu
programs with msconfig. I was even able to download my anti-viru
program again and scan, and I found 2 programs. One was kill it,
believe that is what was causing my processes to stop. But I got rid o
them, all happy and such, I thought it was over.

Nope, blue screened just now.

What should I do?

I'm beginning to think my hard drive is fried. But I don't think tha
explains everything, because it works -sometimes-. Help me!
(I haven't called tech support because I don't want to send in my bab
for 2 weeks over nothing, if it's nothing

Contact the manufacturer of your new laptop and request troubleshooting assistance.

If you haven't yet got a lot of user files to lose it might be expedient to
run a full system recovery to restore the OS and files to factory original
condition. If the computer still acts up after that consider it a warranty
issue.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. I tried what the last poster just said
system recovery. I was able to get my documents and stuff off it
everything I needed. My music files are all on my desktop, everythin
else fit in about 5-6 gigs, being new and all.

Yeah, tried it, got BSOD'd about 20% into it, every time I tried afte
that, insta-fail.

Irql not less or equal

Stop 0x0000000A

(Xo1c000000
0x0000001b
0x00000001
0x8d4bb065)

Tech support's sending recovery CDs or something. I hope they solve th
problem!

(I also ran dskchk like 6 times over the past 3 days and didn't hav
errors)

Was also thinking maybe it could be a driver issue with the video card
because it would BSOD, but the monitor would go dead and it woul
restart like 2 seconds later. Just an overall infuriating issue. Ne
video driver came out last month, not sure if I got it. I also suspec
windows update having a minor role in this, because before I turned of
my computer the night before the problem began occurring, and there ha
been updates installed.

Bah
