As Ken and Frank has explained to you the reason why, may I suggest IE-7
Pro. It's a great add-on for IE and will solve your text size problem. It
has many great features also, but the text size is one I use often. It puts
a text percentage size at the bottom of IE and a simple click will change
how the page is displayed.
