Last security updates causes crash when using Sun Java

After last security update my pc crashes when I try to run games on e.g.
pogo.com, using Sun Java. There is no problems when I use MsVM - only trouble
is, that I play on other sites, where you have to use Sun Java.
I'm pretty sure it is something in the last update that causes the problem,
since I was playing on pogo with no problems while downloading updates.
I'm running 2000 pro sp 4 - on a 6MB cable connection - AMD Sempron 2300+
CPU - 512 MB Ram.
Anyone had same problem? Or have any good ideas to a solution that will
allow me to run Sun Java?

Sun released a new version of their Java RE earlier today. It's Java 5.0
Update 8. http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
If you don't have that new build, try to update to it and see if the problem
goes away.
