WSUS can show some clients' OS but "Last status report" are always "Not yet
reported". I created new SID on these clients and run "wuauclt
/resetauthorization /detectnow" again but it still. Why? WSUS is the latest
version, SP1. Thanks in advance.

Run the Client Diagnostic Tool on one of these clients, and post the output.

Everything is working perfectly in the client-to-server communication,
including the fact that the WUA did successfully selfupdate.

Next step is to inspect the logfile. Please extract the most recent
detection cycle (including the reporting event) from the logfile at
%windir%\WindowsUpdate.log and post here for analysis.

Lawrence, many times I realized that WSUS administrators aren't aware to
the fact that the reporting event for a client isn't transmitted to WSUS
Server right away. Even if you use the detectnow API...
From what I've seen on most of my clients, it usually takes 10-20
minutes for the client to successfully upload a status report to the server!

BR,
Pablo

This is absolutely correct, Pablo.

Which is why I generally include the specific instruction (including the
reporting event), which is marked by the call to the
ReportingWebService.asmx URL, or the more general instruction (wait 30
minutes after the /detectnow, and send the entire log from the start of the
/detectnow).
