I am now back online in XP.
Upon restarting the PC in XP , XP contected the internet much more then it
norm. does and the yellow shield for updates flashed on the task bar and then
went away. The hard drive took off for a few minutes running like mad and
reloaded the updates I had backed out by using the restore. Which had not
fixed the port 80 problem. It then said 9 updates ready to install do you
want to install now. I wanted to wait a back up my P2P part. files, but then
the PC shutdown itself. I had to restart it. when I restarted it it
installed the updated without permission. Now the updates that had caused
the problem are loaded again but this time everything works OK. Its like a
patch came in other then port 80 and fixed the updates and started the
install over again by itself. I am just glad I didn't have to re install XP
yet again.
