Latest Automatic Update

I just installed the latest automatic updates and the server hung at
"Applying computer settings". Eventually the server became unresponsive and
we had to restart. This time the server came up, worked for a short tiime and
then froze again. Again, we restarted, removed all the security updates
except for the exchange 2003 update, restarted, and now all seems ok (fingers
crossed). Anyone experience this or is this just one of the qwarks.

Also, does anyone know of a good site to check on security update issues
before actually installing them?

Also looking for a site where I can find information about a patch before
allowing it in wsus.
