Latest Sigma Tel High Def Audio CODEC Update...

The Latest Sigma Tel High Def Audio CODEC Update does not work; it breaks the
audio, removing the recording devices and placing a red 'X' over the system
tray speaker icon. What gives, MS??

Hi there,

As most user know MS gives bad drivers

Rol back on the driver in your device namager or try using system restore in
safe mode to a date before the problem occured.

Take drivers if they are really needed from the manufacturers website.

Som free advice: If it ain't broke: do not try to "FIX" it.

I had the same problem after i installed my update, You should go on your
computer manufacturer website download the driver from your manufacturer &
they should have your driver. it worked out fine for me i had my sound back,
or rollback your driver which i tried that & it didn't work so i had to go on
Gateway Support & download the driver of my computer model & they had it.
Just a couple of click from download and it automatically installed my old
driver.

IMPORTANT! Don't take any driver updates from windows update

Than you wouldn't have a worry
