A few sites are reporting that MS has released another beta of SP2 to the
public. Unfortunately, all the links provided by those sites point to older
versions. Does anyone have a link to the x86 version of the latest SP2 Beta?
It would have to be higher than v.285. Thanks.

I'm downloading the one from the link at neowin now. Are you sure Windows
hasn't automatically updated itself to the new version on your PC? Did you
have a previous version of SP2 installed?

Build 286 has been sent out to official beta testers but I am not aware as
it was made publically available.

You would be absolutely foolish to download and install SP2 from a
third-party, non-Microsoft sanctioned web site. Wait until Microsoft
officially releases SP2 next month.

You're going to find the download link posted by Neowin (official MS link,
by the way) is for a old beta.

Actually that idiot OP at neowin screwed up UAC's post to the forum. The
ISO is the good link- 1.31GB.

It's v286, the new one. Installed and running fine here.

No Beta's are not understandable unless you have VPC or a machine set
aside just for testing. Only a fool would install a beta anythign on a
working machine.

I enjoy testing betas on my machine, which is set up so that I can
completely restore everything in only a few minutes. I sometimes get the MS
betas from MS, but occasionally from other sites when the download times are
slow.

And then wait six more months for it to be hashed out.
