Since the 6/17 update, I receive Error number: 0x80240030 when I try to
access Windows Update through IE, and the suggested "fixes" do not work.
Thanks MS, I think I'll switch to Firefox and be done with it.

I receive Error number: 0x80240030 when I try to access Windows Update
through IE. The program begins its "check" for what updates are needed, and
I very quickly get "We're Sorry..." along with the above error number.

I'm so very happy for you, JoeM, however, I'm getting sick and tired of
Microsoft's constant stream of program fixes at our expense. I swear,
everything they release should be labelled "beta version" with a
fingers-crossed logo.
