Try using system restore to roll back to a restore point that was saved
before you installed the new updates.
You could also visit Add & Remove Programs, check "Show Updates" and
uninstall the latest updates you downloaded.
While neither of these will fix the problem, they may resolve it for the
time being.
Also, check you even viewer for any related error messages. Right click on
My Computer > Manage > Expand Event Viewer > Review the events listed under
Application and System to see if any of them are related to your problem.
