latest updates - screen refreshing on XP

Just downloaded the latest batch of security updates for XP ( excluding the
WGA tool included yet again).

While installing the desktop kept blinking and then refreshing. Anyone else
had this happen??

They seem to have installed ok and everything so far is still working.
