Legal Copy?

I have a legit copy of Vista and want to make a back-up copy in case of the
DVD being damaged. Is this acceptable and will it work the same as the
original DVD?

You are allowed to make one backup copy for the sole purpose of reinstalling
the OS.

I belive it is possible, I made my own bootable version of vista from an
install that wasn't bootable. The only way to find out is to try it. use a
program that can clone the disc, don't just copy the files/directories by
hand.
