I've loaded Lernout & Hauspie , but can't find it anywhere on the PC.

I didn't have this problem before using XP.

Can anyone let me know where I can find this software so I can use
it...

Thanks!

Assuming that the install did not drop any shortcuts anywhere (evidence of
an incomplete install), start the install again. Take note to where the
install path points to. Then cancel the install and go to your program. If
the program doesn't run - you do not have a valid install. Reinstall the
program again to the same location.

I could not find this, anywhere.

I have found Text To Speech in the Control panel, but there is no way
I can find to start it. In XP this was simple

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Reinstall the program and write down where the program is installing to.
Then at least you know where to find it.

Also, is your version compatible with Vista?

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > Narrator

Hope this helps

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lernout_&_Hauspie

Any program as old as this is unlikely to work well (if at all) with Vista
when it needs, as L&H will, to access the hardware directly.

Vista includes speech recognition: go to Windows Help and Support and search
on "speech".

I'd just like to be able to read out documents in Text to speech.

Anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks!

You need to start Narrator.

Either search Windows Help for "narrator" or, in Vista's standard Control
Panel - not Classic View, search on "narrator".
