how do i install a lifecam 30 on my osx system

Greetings,

I assume you mean the VX-3000. I don't think this model supports UVC which would be needed
to work on OS X without actual drivers from Microsoft (and they're not making OS X drivers).

You could virtualize Windows and use the camera using Fusion or something similar, but its
usage would be limited to within the virtualized Windows environment.
