if I block traffic to internet with my firewall after and hour or so I get an
alert stating limited or no connectivity and I have to repair the connection.
Is there a way to stop this from happening??? thanks!

I experienced the same thing with co-workers computer when trying to update
it. We had to unintall Service Pack 2, and then make sure that there was no
spyware of viruses in the machine. Three different Trojan Horses were found.
Once removed, we reinstalled Service Pack 2, and everything was working fine.
