I would like to know why both http://www.teamviewer.com/ and the direct link
to their Quick Support module
http://www.teamviewer.com/download/TeamViewerQS.exe are still blocked from
being sent on MSN Messenger.

I'm very curious as to why MS feel the need to block these? Especially since
they have broken their own internal remote desktop support between the
different versions of the MSN Client. It is why i switched to using
Teamviewer.

Hi,

I doubt very much this is being specifically targeted -- it's just the keywords that are in
there are too close to some other malware link.

That or its been mistakenly blocked.

If you need a quick fix to it, I'd just use a service like tinyurl.com to send the link via
Messenger.

i suspect its the teamviewer.com domain being blocked.

Is there anyway to confirm this or anywhere to complain to someone about
this and get it fixed? The website is genuine and a very good support tool. I
really would like to register some sort of complaint or ticket to get it
investigated.

It seems that Microsoft haven't got a clue how to implement an URL security
system for Messenger. Even though all they need to do is exactly what they
have already done for IE, and that's create a trusted sites list.

To some it might seem OTT, but it would drastically cut down array of issues
circulating on the live network in relation to dubious URLS and URLS being
classed as dubious when they aren't.

For example/

http://www.microsoft.com/somenewsoftware/download.php

Try sending that... Fail! Microsoft.com not a trusted source? Give me a
break.

Nick.
