link buttons problem

I cannot remove the blank link buttons from my window.
There are five blank link buttons at the bottom right corner; they are
located next to the little globe and the word internet.
I have tried to configure my computer settings to no avail. I have done the
customize and display and it just won't work.
My mouse won't click on the buttons at all. Therefore, the mouse cannot
click and drag to delete or remove.
Help !! anyone? !!!
