Since changing back from Chrome to IE9 and changing the default browser, I
have not been able to get a link from Outlook 2010 emails to take me to IE
without cutting and pasting.
Can anyone help?

Actually it works if IE is NOT open, but fails when it is already running.

Did you set a default web browser (after installing the one that was
currently the default)?

Internet Options -> Programs
Choose a default web browser

Another stab is to make sure the OS has the defaults identified. Since
you mentioned IE9 but no OS/version, it must be Windows Vista or 7 (IE9
isn't installable on earlier versions of Windows). Have you gone into
Set Program Access and Computer Defaults?

Something else to try: reset IE.

Internet Options -> Advanced
Reset button

Makes no difference.
I'm puzzled by the fact that it works a treat if IE9 is closed, but not
when it's open.
