Links Not Opening

Firstly apologies for what might appear like a spam link - I'm using it to
illustrate the problem I'm having.....

Whenever I click on a link in a webpage that should open in a new tab, it
doesn't. The new tab opens but nothing happens in it. As an example I've
visited this page today:

http://www.wizmarkcomputers.co.uk/ho...spiron6400.htm

I've clicked on one of the "configure" buttons on the right hand side and
although the window opens it just puts the following link in the address bar
in a new tab.

http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?p(702)a(1060375)g(871344)url(http://lt.dell.com/lt/lt.aspx?CID=5212&LID=122756&DGC=AF&DGSegHS&ACD=^^& AID=¤¤&DURL=http%253A//configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx%253Fb%253D%2526c%253Duk%2526cs%253Dukd hs1%2526l%253Den%2526oc%253DN1264053%2526s%253Ddhs %2526sbc%253Drf_spider%2526m_30%253D111411)

Now I'm expecting it should go through to the Dell website but it does
nothing... I've checked and I've got nothing obvious enabled that should be
blocking it, but I'm not too up to speed with the workings of IE 7. I've
disabled my firewall and retested which hasn't fixed it so now I'm a bit
stuck.

Any suggestions? It's becoming a bit of a pain in the neck!

Thanks.

Windows version? IE version?

That link wants to open "through" tradedoubler.com, a somewhat shady outfit
that makes money when it "handles" such a transfer. Chances are that you
have some security application installed that's disallowing it (and rightly
so, IMHO). I see the same behavior.

If you're shopping for a Dell, write down the Discount Code you see on
http://www.wizmarkcomputers.co.uk/ho...spiron6400.htm, then go to
www.dell.com and start shopping. Believe me, you wouldn't be saving any
more money if you could get that link to work.

Close IE.
Try renaming the HOSTS file to HOSTS.SAV.
It is typically found at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

It is the pop-up blocker in IE that is not allowing this like to open in a
new window.
Go to Tools menu, then Pop-Up Blocker and chose Always allow pop-ups from
this site.

On the contrary such a symptom could occur when you have *disabled*
things, e.g. using too tight security settings. If View Source (Alt-V,c)
makes you think that IE should be rendering something on that page
make sure that you are using Default Level security settings for that zone.

Was this a typo, or did you really mean to type 'not' rather than 'now'?
